Humor: Beware the Cafeteria Ice Cream

My freshman year in college I was in the local student cafeteria, eating dinner with a couple people when I get this strange call from deep inside my inner-being that gently throbs the word “ice cream…ice cream…” over and over again until it overrides my sub-conscience sense of survival that usually kicks in whenever I contemplate second helpings of campus food. So I get up and walk trance-like over to the ice cream machine and squirt a little into a bowl, and I top it with some chocolate sauce and creamy marshmallow goop. So far so good, right?

So I join my friends at the table again and start eating. The topic of conversation has turned to “funny tasting food” and, as if my ice cream could hear us (which it very well could have) it started tasting funny. Kind of sour, actually. I notified my friends of this new development, and then I decided to just skim off the toppings and leave the ice cream to die a horrible sour death at the hands of the dish-washers.

I stuck a big gob of marshmallow goop in my mouth and was immediately faced with the possibility that it may not have been the ice cream that tasted sour. Yes indeed, some devious individual decided to fill the marshmallow goop container with sour cream, and it DIDN’T GO WELL WITH VANILLA!

Yummy.
